My issue has been with this latest install debacle and the customer service that followed.I have talked to multiple rude representatives and HORRIBLE supervisors.Has DTV gotten so big that they couldn’t care less about losing a customer over 80 measly dollars? Then if you contact Direct TV they tell you to talk to Century Link and then Century Link tells you to talk to Direct TV. I have never experienced such incompetence with a company.Ultimately I enjoy this service and would like to keep it, however the outstanding bill for installation, the late fees as a result and the way I have been talked to as a customer the last few months have been appalling. Grote Reply I just signed up and was told the Genie was no charge just /mo for 2nd TV. Just got my 2nd bill and it is /mo for Primary TV, for 2nd TV and for Genie HD DVR. Even before canceling service I had numerous problems with billing.Apparently DTV wants me to pay for the most horrid customer service experience I have ever been a part of.As a paying customer of their cable service, I have had no issues regarding cable, the quality of the picture, or any outage issues that weren’t rectified quickly. On May 20th I was informed my service would be setup on June 8th between 1-4. The tech did not show up I didnt receive an email, phone call, or anything regarding that the tech wasn’t going to show up.
Needless to say, talking to the supervisor that could “rectify the rest of the install fee” never happened as assured.
I honestly do not feel that I should have to pay for this horrendous installation service.
Although I do understand that some sort of installation was done (changing the cable of an existing dish), the issues that led up to the service should not be compensated in the slightest. Reply I discontinued service with Direc TV and was sent a final bill stating that I would receive info on returning the receiver. I called and talked to a representative and was told that it would be sent. I wrote a letter and asked for the information to return. A few weeks later I received a letter from a collection agency stating that I owed Direc TV for not returning my receiver.
In 2006, Direc TV sold off the last of its non-core business entities and began to focus solely on satellite TV service. It has been seen all over the US since its rollout.
In 2010, Sirius XM channels were replaced with Sonic Tap.
