Piedmont Park is just a couple of blocks further north. You also may not realize how close you are to Buckhead, The High Museum, The Fox Theater, The Margaret Mitchell House, Georgia Tech, Turner Field and The Arts Center, as well as (real) downtown Atlanta itself.Great location with fabulous restaurants within walking distance. We stayed in a downstairs rooms and the baths are a little small for our taste but they are part of the original house. The Stonehurst Place B&B is located on Piedmont Avenue NE set back from the street in a beautiful residential part of the road a stone’s throw from Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and the Atlanta Aquarium. One step into the cool, chic Stonehurst Place, you'll forget the driving/parking hassles, the noise and the heat of the city! Everything was excellent - beautiful inside and out.Elegant sitting areas, lovely bedrooms and over-the-top bathrooms are so calming and inviting. From the moment you drive up the manicured driveway you are treated to high quality at every turn.
This is a wonderful place to base and far more comfortable than a hotel setting but with even better amenities. As a former Atlanta resident I was pleasantly surprised to find this B&B in a neighborhood I wouldn't have gone near 10-15 years ago, especially after dark. I stayed at the Stonehurst Place Bed & Breakfast in downtown Atlanta, GA when I visited my sister recently.
I did a search and came across this beautiful B&B and fell in love with it.
Upon our arrival, I was greeted by a wonderful staff who was helpful and very friendly.
